GM Live Well Assembly participant information
Overview
Congratulations! We’re delighted that you’ve been selected to take part in the first-ever GM Live Well Assembly, taking place from 23–25 March 2026.
Selection for the Assembly was decided by random selection, based on demographics that will help us to make sure the Assembly reflects the diverse people and communities of Greater Manchester.
Thank you for taking the time to apply and for your commitment to strengthening community voice across Greater Manchester.
Now we need some additional information from you to help us make sure we can support you during the Assembly.
Please fill out this short form which will ask you some questions about you, your organisation and how we can be in contact with you between now and Assembly.
Next steps and important information
- Payment for taking part in the Assembly will be managed by our partner Collaborate Out Loud. We will be in touch shortly to connect you to them, and provide a process for you to give them your bank details. They will be managing the whole of the payment process and any information you provide to them will be held solely by them.
- During the Assembly you will be put into a group of around 8 or 9 people. Your group will have a facilitator who will be supporting you throughout the Assembly and helping your group with the activities and conversations you will have over the three days. If you let us know in the form that you have an access or support need, we may pass this information onto your group facilitator as they will be the person you will spend most time with at the Assembly.
- We will be setting up a WhatsApp group for the Assembly, where we can post important information. The group will be closed and you won't be able to access anyone's telephone number or contact anyone directly. You will be sent a link to join the optional WhatsApp group shortly.

About the GM Live Well Assembly
The GM Live Well Assembly brings together a diverse group of people connected to the Live Well movement to explore how we can shift decision making and resources closer to communities, and what this means in practice for how GM Live Well is governed.
Over three days, you will:
- Deliberate on how a GM Live Well Alliance can support community led decision making
- Consider what this means for Live Well governance
- Hear from expert witnesses to inspire new ideas
- Develop a set of recommendations to shape the future of GM Live Well
The Assembly is inspired by the Citizens’ Assembly model and has been formed using random selection (sortition) to ensure it reflects the diversity of Greater Manchester.
