DP2: Streets for All

Improving our streets to be welcoming and safe spaces for everyone, enabling more travel by walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport, while creating better places that support local communities and businesses.

Rail and light rail

DP19: Rail integration

Working with Network Rail/Great British Railways (GBR) and partners to bring local rail services into the Bee Network.

DP20a: Regional and national rail services

Working with Network Rail/Great British Railways and rail industry partners to improve reliability and increase capacity on regional and national routes. The initial focus will be on delivering the Liverpool to Manchester section of Northern Powerhouse Rail.

Working with partners to deliver Northern Powerhouse Rail, delivering a new Liverpool –Warrington –Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly line first.

Maintaining and improving the existing Metrolink network as an integral part of our Bee Network.

Improving customer information across all types of transport with campaigns to enable and encourage people to use walking, cycling and public transport for more of their journeys.
