Event overview

Join this online session to find out more about the future of transport in Greater Manchester and share your thoughts.

What do you want travel to look like by 2050?

Greater Manchester is currently consulting on its draft 2050 Transport Strategy – and a detailed Delivery Plan outlining local schemes from 2027 to 2037.

This live online session is your opportunity to learn more and help shape the future of travel across our city region.

What you’ll get from this session

  • Hear a presentation on Greater Manchester’s long term transport plans.
  • Focus on the policies that matter most to Equalities groups – Inclusive & Affordable, Healthy, Safe & Secure
  • Ask questions (by email and in the online chat) and tell us what matters most to you.
  • Join a live Q&A with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) officers.

Accessibility: BSL interpreters will be present online to translate the session.

Why take part?

We’re planning a world‑class, fully integrated transport system that connects people with jobs, education, healthcare, services, and opportunities – across all ten council areas.

Your views will help shape what the future transport network looks like and how we deliver it.

If you sign up to attend, drop us a line with any questions in advance at transport2050@tfgm.com and we’ll make sure we cover them on the night.

Can’t attend?

If you can’t attend, you can still take part in the consultation. Visit gmconsult.org to learn more and complete a short survey before the consultation closes on Monday 9 March 2026.
