Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2050 and Delivery Plan Consultation

Overview

Greater Manchester is leading the way in creating a transport system that helps people live better lives, supports local communities and powers the economy.

We are now holding a public consultation to seek your views on two important new documents:

These key documents set out bold and exciting plans for future transport investment across Greater Manchester through to 2050, including the Bee Network and wider transport network.

For an overview of both documents see the 'GM Transport Strategy and Delivery Plan Summary - Consultation Draft' (opens in new window).

Taking part in the consultation

This consultation runs from Tuesday 9 December 2025 to 11.59pm on Monday 9 March 2026. We want to hear from anyone with an interest in the future of transport in Greater Manchester. You can respond:

  • As a member of the public
  • In an official capacity (e.g. elected representative, statutory consultee, business, or organisation)*

*Responses submitted in an official capacity may be published.

You can share your views in several ways:

  • Complete this online survey
  • Email us at transport2050@tfgm.com
  • Return a printed questionnaire.

Printed copies of documents and information on supporting evidence are available in libraries and information and ticket offices in interchanges across Greater Manchester and on request. You can return your printed questionnaire in a provided Freepost envelope.

There is a long and a short version of the consultation questionnaire. You can access these via the links at the bottom of this page. You do not need to answer all the questions on either questionnaire.
